AS has been one of the most productive communities I've been a part of. The study sessions hold me accountable to my goals, and I like that we have workshops to develop different skills. I'm honestly on here more than Instagram, there's no ads or distracting content. Just community, productivity, and encouragement.

The accountability, the friendships, the sense of "I am not alone" are precious super-powers that I got from Accepted Society! I can highlight how the Monthly Planning sessions have played a role in keeping me on track, not just by outlining priorities (and consequently discarding "distractions"), but also by ensuring that I remain realistic and accountable for the tasks I set out to do. Furthermore, the emphasis in community and self care mean that I can always rely on other AS Scholars to ask for help and more importantly, to check up on me when I go quiet (usually due to feeling overwhelmed or worried about something).

Accepted is like home to me and a crucial part of my graduate studies.

I am still very new to the Accepted Society - currently doing the 7 day free trial. I have fallen in love with the society though so will be definitely keeping my membership. The study sessions, writing session and the notion session Kaelyn just held have all been amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

I was looking for some connections with likeminded people, since studying part time can be quite a lonely experience. It was especially great to find company to study at unusual times (very early in the morning), since I have to study around my full time job, and it was nice to see other people in my same shoes with same challenges. Very motivating!

This community has helped me get more focused and productive; and less lonely in this career path

Accepted Society has helped two challenges I have found in doing a PhD: building community with other researchers and establishing a consistent writing schedule. Everyone in Accepted Society has been so welcoming, the community is very active and kind, and I have found a place to connect with a community of passionate graduate students and researchers. There are options for joining writing and study groups as well as non-academic focused groups (like book clubs and crafting sessions) that allow me to find some time to do something more nurturing or playful. The platform Accepted Society uses makes adding events to my calendar simple and I appreciate that there are reminders sent so that I don't miss writing and study sessions. After considering it for a few months, I am so happy I finally joined and wish I would have done so sooner!

I am happy to be part of AS. It is a very useful path for me to have a daily appointment to work on my doctoral project.

I have found my people! Accepted Society is where I turn to when I need advice, to vent, to body double and study, to get a kick in the pants, for resources...so much more! I can't imagine doing this PhD journey without it.

I have found it extremely beneficial in helping me time manage my studying and keep on track, by having people to check in and study with has been so rewarding. I have even hosted some late-night study sessions myself and they have been so engaging and i've even connected with a group of people in my province whom I am planning on visiting the national archives with for thesis research!

It’s been heaven sent. I was feeling so lost trying to find a PhD program as a non Traditional student. Finding a place that not only provided information, it gave me a sense of community I yearned for.

Accepted Society has offered me a community of people, who are on similar journeys in their academic work and offer help and support when needed. Furthermore, the study sessions give me the accountability I need to finish my PhD. I am also happy to have found some online-friends among them!

I was so intimidated by joining, but have found the members and leaders of Accepted to be so incredibly welcoming and supportive!

Accepted Society has been a key part of my graduate experience, from applying to PhD programs and working on my Masters to starting my PhD. Having a group of scholars here cheering me on has kept me going through the toughest of times, and the resources and support are phenomenal.

Accepted Society feels like the community I expected to be given in my institution but was gifted to me through other means.

I joined AS because I wanted to find folks who understand the academic experience. I am blown away by how much support is offered by just having dependable weekly meetings. The folks at AS really provide tangible support and meaningful community.

I work from home and live alone, so joining AS has been one of my best decisions this year. It's fun to host/join study sessions and work with scholars worldwide. Because of the timezone differences, at least one person is awake and studying at any given time. You will always have company, and there will always be someone with answers to all your questions! AS is the one-stop solution for all graduate student problems.

This community has really brought me joy, self-compassion, and a sense of acceptance among like-minded folks. I feel as though I truly have scholar friends!

As a first-generation, non-traditional, mature student... I had no idea what I was doing! Additionally, one of the biggest downsides to going at it on my own was the fact that I didn't have a sense of community (because I didn't have a cohort, and as someone who moved countries, I didn't have my usual support network of friends and family to turn to). Accepted Society became my rock; it grounded me in my dreams and encouraged me to believe in my abilities as a researcher. Not only did the space provide essential accountability, but crucially, the community gave me a sense of belonging and friendship in a space that I never thought I could exist within.

It’s a community. It’s literally my Hogwarts….my educational “home”

I have just started to take advantage of what Accepter offers, but after today's workshop, I feel more confident in doing so. I think Accepted Society provides a rich community to be a part of and I am looking forward to getting more involved.

It's been a pleasure. I feel like I'm not going through this experience alone.
